My personal favorite by Ms. Sinatra in April 1967. Probably not well-remembered now, it was a big hit at the time and marks the occasion of my first notable wet dream (which actually was a recurring dream played out over a period of three or four nights). It was one of those serialized dreams, the kind that take up where they left off the previous night. They seemed so real I truly believed the dream girl lived above me in the space between my bed and the ceiling in another dimension. One night I looked under the bed in case it was the other way around when I slept on my stomach. This song got a lot of play on my black transistor radio after hours on school nights. Uh-huh.

The video is courtesy of one of my favorite directors, Mr. David Lynch, largely from Inland Empire and Mulholland Drive, but also a few other splendid films. "Love Eyes" was written by Lee Hazlewood with whom Nancy would have two major hits, "Summer Wine" and "One Velvet Morning." Hitting the charts at #72 on April, 1967 it soared to #15 on Billboard and #23 on Cash Box on April 29, 1967.
