The primary goal is to present music that is easy for beginners to understand. The musical material of this album was selected for simple storytelling in gymnastics routine or figure skating program.
The individual coach or choreographer can use this music as foundation to make it more entertaining for gymnasts or skaters in practice and competitive performances by giving them a complete story or a character from it. Building a story through these compositions will be more engaging for beginners to relate to and express.
Alexander Goldstein, a leading authority in figure skating and gymnastics music, carefully selected these tunes from the works of American and European composers.
Tracks in this album have different tempos, rhythms and characters. Combination of two or three tracks in a musically logical way should enhance the content of figure skating program or gymnastics routine, focus the usually short attention of young athletes and dramatically increase their performance.
The music compositions in this album are unique; they do not repeat in the Internet music stores or streaming services. The competition judges will then not be subconsciously making comparisons to other competitors. Unique music allows them to stay with performance in front of them in real time.
The rules of gymnastics and figure skating do not allow vocal music with words; that’s why some tunes of the digital album My First Competition have vocal parts without words, as permissible for several beginner levels in figure skating, rhythmic and artistic gymnastics.
