Rachel’s work creating CYC, making yoga, wellness and wellbeing available and accessible to the local community through charitable fund raising and organisation of classes, took a sudden turn when the lockdown began. Confined to our homes, the lockdown left thousands without an outlet for health and wellbeing. So Rachel began her digital revolution, taking on the monumental task of moving a very interactive social circle from the yoga studio to the web. The interactive online schedule system for online classes linked members of the program with teachers all over the country, with a “pay what you can afford” policy ensuring those dependant on the program could continue to participate. Never forgetting about the teachers, through donations and CYC’s fund raising Rachel and her team subsidised the cost of the classes, ensuring the longevity and fair treatment of yoga teachers nation wide.
