Without giving away too much, the “transformative” song Jérémy sings in club Wonderland is “Deep Blue Sea'' by influential American folk singer Odetta. The track comes from Odetta’s seminal debut album, “Odetta Sings Ballads and Blues'', released in April 1957. Bob Dylan has singled out this album as the reason he first got interested in folk music. “The first thing that turned me on to folk singing was Odetta,” said Dylan in an interview in 1978. “I heard a record of hers in a record store, and right then and there, I went out and traded my electric guitar and amplifier for an acoustical guitar, a flat-top Gibson.”
