The McGirt case was a landmark US Supreme Court decision, ruling that much of the eastern portion of the state of Oklahoma remains Native American land, and was never disestablished by Congress.

This mini-doc was filmed in February 2020, when the decision exclusively affected the Muskogee Creek Nation. Decisions from the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals in March and April 2020 restored the reservation borders of all of the Five Tribes of Oklahoma.
