The song is sung by an angelic being and it references 1 Peter 1:12 and Ephesians 5:14. The rest of the song goes on to ask the young boy as well as the viewing audience to become aware of their surroundings, opening their spiritual eyes and acknowledge that the world and its distractions are “loud” so to speak. There is an initial exposition of how humanity had fallen from grace and notes a few of the repercussions of the fall that are present today; excerpts are pulled from the Genesis story and Christ’s warnings from Matthew 24:6-8. The song caps off by reminding listeners that the issue is one of the heart and sin, a problem only God and his salvation in Christ can resolve.
