Life of odds is a promo video of an Irish short film the odds directed by gi panakal.the three min video through its distinct style pictures the moment of realization of those forgetting to live their own lives. An aged man who lived his youth and years in fear of the future realizes the futility of his fears n ambitions sitting besides his wife's death bed

"The odds" is the first directional venture by GI Panakkal, filmed in Ireland. "The odds "discusses the importance of pursuing an opportunity or taking a risk. The plot is based on a real incident wherein an old man gambles on an extremely odd day of his life.

Long years of
ego,fear and hatred
once and again there were knocks
Calling opportunity,hope and dreams
we waited them to break in
Winter and summer passed

Now the doors too old rusted falling apart
Little rays of sunlight peeping to the bedroom floor
the dreams,the hopes
80 years and its the first time..
The fresh air
The sun.the moon
the woods.the mountain
more beautiful than ever dreamed of

We waited too long..
its close to what we want
But we hardly remember what it was..
Past has forgotten us
Future is our only hope...
Rusted doors may fall apart...

But alas, its time
Your old icy wrinkled Palms,now forzen
Speaks a tale full of sorrow
taps the wisdom of life
