The video was produced and edited by Melvin McCray of Media Genesis Solutions LLC for use in an online Bible Study Service given by Rev. Julie Johnson Staples a senior minister at the Collegiate Churches of New York. The video was composed of two renditions of Leaning on the Everlasting Arms performed by
Rev William Nemon Heard, founder of HeardSong Productions (heardsong.com).

The solo was recorded at HeardSong Productions and recorded by Matthew D. B. Heard.

The live concert recording was a part of This Far by Faith Sacred Songs From the African American Worship Experience. The album rendition features the Princeton Theological Seminary Chapel Choir and the congregational voices gathered in the Samuel P. Miller Chapel for the concert.

The song appears on volume three of Heard‘s compilation projects entitled Songs from the Sanctuary Hymns Spirituals and Classic Gospels produced on the HeardSong Productions label. It is the third in a trilogy of volumes preserving and presenting the historic music of the African American worship tradition.

Dr. Martin Tel is the C. F. Seabrook Director of Music at PTS. The concert also features PTS staff musicians: Pipe organ by Minister Michael R. Gittens and piano by associate choral conductor Chi Yi Chen.
