LAZZARO, is a performance dedicated to the REBIRTH, projected by Giulio De Leo and developed in close collaboration with Erika Guastamacchia. A body lying on a table and revived by dance becomes the fulcrum of identity for the new community that gathers to watch over it. LAZZARO reflects on the ability of movement to regenerate the body starting from the fundamental vital acts, according to an organic logic of listening. The performance, initially intended for the production of multimedia content, since the first rehearsals has shown an incisive character in the relationship with urban places and cultural venues, finding an unexpected site-specific performative dimension.

GIULIO DE LEO artistic director and choreographer
Choreographer and curator of festivals and contemporary dance and body languages projects. His work stands out for its rigor and curiosity towards communities, rituals and the anthropological investigation of society through dance. Since 2008 he founds Menhir Dance Company, creates several choreographies and establishes many contemporary dance reviews and programs. From 2013 to 2016 he is coordinator of La Biennale di Venezia College Danza. Since 2017 he is artistic director of Talos Festival dance area and in 2021 he establishes Le Danzatrici, a research and audience engagement project.

ERIKA GUASTAMACCHIA dancer
Graduated from CODARTS dance academy of Rotterdam. Among the various collaborations stand out those with Kristzina De Chatel (Holland), Nanine Linning (Holland), Paulo Ribeiro (Portugal), Compagnia Virgilio Sieni Danza (Italy), Biennale di Venezia Danza. From 2010 she collaborates with Menhir Dance Company as dancer and assistant of Giulio De Leo in a lot of contemporary dance research and audience engagement projects. For Menhir Dance Company she dances all the latest creations: Genesi, Ritual quintet_01, Trilogia and Gesto Sospeso.
