Kaori Suzuki and John Krausbauer present music for voices, amplified strings, electronics, and bell percussion. Their work originates from a shared interest in ecstatic and spiritual musics as well as the “avant-garde”. Utilizing sustained tones, alternate tunings, long durations/playing endurances, and stroboscopic lighting, their music explores the parameters and possibilities of psychotropic ‘experiential’ environments rather than the strictly ‘musical.’ This performance was recorded on Friday, August 26, 2019 at the Center For New Music in San Francisco.
