Our Love Story

How did you guys meet?

We met through friendship groups and he happened to be living on the same roads as me for years.

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

Sam is a builder and works with his brother and Dad .
And I Ella work as Teaching assistant in a little school with 4-5 years olds.
Sam’s hobbies are fishing, Xbox and Air-softing.
My hobbies are socialising and occasionally fishing with Sam.
We love to spend time together whether it’s going out and seeing new things, meeting friends and family or staying at home watching Movies.

How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)

Sam was very caring and thought everything through.
On the 28th of may it was our 7 year anniversary and it was a beautiful day and Sam said that he would like to take you for a Picnic later to a lovely place called Ivinghoe beacon that overlooks beautiful views.
So we made a picnic and of we went to Ivinghoe.
We laid a blanket down and had a lovely picnic and talked and laughed for ages until….
Sam sat in front of me and I had my back to woodland, he seemed a bit twichy and worried and I was concerned so was asking him what’s wrong and he said…..
Ella look at that behind you, as I turned around my 3 best friends and my beautiful sister was there standing with beautiful flowers in their hands and signs saying WILL. YOU MARRY ME!
I couldn’t believe my eyes and the effort he had gone through to get everyone together for the proposal.
( except my maid of honour Lily who was unable to attend as she was on holiday but she gave Sam the go ahead  )
I turned back around and Sam was on one knee with a beautiful ring and I was so excited and overwhelmed I forgot to say yes.
Finally I said yes and we all celebrated and shot home to tell my mum and dad and they took us all to the pub to celebrate.
It was by far one of the best days of my life that my best friend has ask me to marry him.

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

My Mum and I were so exited we started looking and planning straight away. We looked at a few venues but we fell in love with a place called The De Vere Latimer house.
This venue is very local to us and had such beautiful grounds.
And It just felt so right to get married there.

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

I would like my guest to feel relaxed and comfortable and the day to be full of happiness and enjoyment.
I would like the day to run smoothly and for the guest to have a great day.

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

Our wedding has a colour theme of Grey and Dusky Pink. It is going to be very simple but effective with low flowers as the centre peace’s on the tables and flowers on the pew ends of the chairs.

What was the hardest decision during the planning?

The Hardest decision was choosing who can come to the wedding with the numbers that we had be given as the max. As we both have very large Families.

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

The Advice I would give is if anyone offers to help then take it and also to start planning as quick as you can as time goes very quickly.

We chose to be engaged for two years so we didn’t feel rushed or under pressure.
