Invest in the production and presentation of the world premiere of "Larry," the first musical about the life of Filipino American labor leader Larry Itliong, written by Gayle Romasanta and composed by Bryan Pangilinan. Filipina/o/x American artists and organizations from the SF Bay Area to the East Coast have joined together to tell this story. Produced by Melvign Badiola (Brava Theater) and Dr. Kevin Nadal (Professor at the City University of New York), directed by Billy Bustamante (Broadway Barkada), music direction by Sean Kana (Broadway by the Bay), dramaturgy by Kevin Camia (Comedian, Late Night with Stephen Colbert), and additional technical direction/cinematography by Christopher Sotelo (Google), the musical will have its world premiere October 2023 at the historic Brava Theater in San Francisco.
