About the Band:

Uncle Hunter (Andrew Low) and the Buffalo (Tim Holland) have been playing music together for almost 20 years, since the beginning of The Jazz June. Although Tim wasn’t in the original line up of the band, he has been in the family since day one and officially joined during the recording of The Medicine and subsequent tours. Tim’s job brings him to London often so they have seen each other twice a year since Andrew moved to the UK in 2006, and although there have been many conversations about music, the first official recordings didn’t happen until April of 2016.

These recordings began in Andrew’s living room in Walthamstow and were finished in Tim’s apartment in Brooklyn. The process was very simple and the concept was to make sure that each instrument was played to serve the song. Tim probably spent more time contemplating what would sound best for each song than actually playing instruments. Despite the geographical distance, Uncle Hunter and the Buffalo are a collective effort that finds the pair figuring out how to move the project into new territories on a daily basis.
