With over 120 songs in the Kiwi Kidsongs series it was decided that there needed to be a theme song that would encapsulate the can-do mood of Kiwi Kidsongs. A rousing song the whole class could sing was planned and the "Kiwi Kids' Theme" was the result. A repeated phrase on the synth, percussion, and drums creates the punchy rhythms of this pop song.
The song encourages self-esteem. It could be used as a stimulus for class discussion about dreams, hopes, and ambitions. It would also be a suitable "crowd warmer" before sports games, and for many other school occasions.
The soloist, Theo Va'a, says his dream is to be a professional singer.
David Antony Clark has composed many of Kiwi Kidsongs' most popular songs, including "lrish Music" and "Never Hitch a Ride with a Martian" that are also in this collection.
