This is a great song for a full choir or for use at assembly. We've divided the singers into two groups for the second verse.
Our arrangement uses cello, drums, keyboard, electronic "space" sounds, guitar, and bass. Make sure the students sing the "th" on "Earth".
David Chadwick lives on the Kapiti Coast. This is his first song for Kiwi Kidsongs. "Just One Earth” is from a musical called The River, which he wrote for Te Horo Primary School. When the school produced the musical, they managed to involve all 162 students in the show.
David says: "The song was composed using three-fingered chords on the piano. Although I'm more of a guitar player than a pianist, I like to use the piano to compose because the results tend to be more melodic."
