Jose Grace at The Station House (All of Me)

VIDEO DESCRIPTION:

Play, download and edit the video Jose Grace at The Station House (All of Me).

During a solo gig in the township of Gembrook. I invited various friends and audience members to join with me on stage when performing at The Station House.

Grace was in the audience and agreed. We chose a song which we had some familiarity with but had never sung together and this was the result. Mistakes aside, there were a couple of moments where the song hit some really magic moments. Someone in the audience took a video and hopefully this captures a little bit of that magic.

Please bear in mind the raw video was captured on a mobile phone in portrait mode which was then cropped to produce more appropriate landscape imagery. Grace and I had never made any time to prepare, practice or rehearse the song together. We had never met before. So everything was just done on the spot.

Thanks go to: the venue The Station House for regularly supporting my music, to Belinda Anderson who was my principal special guest for the day and also to the many friends who decided to drop by and join with me on stage. These include Sue Kidd from Duplicity and Ali McDonald and Mats Bjorklund from the Alicats. There were also many in the audience that joined in with the singing including lots of children, so it was a truly fun afternoon. To be quite honest, it also made it a lot easier for me as I was still recovering from some chest health issues.

To cap it all of, the day was remarkable because in the region there was some bushfire activity (yes we were monitoring it) and the music was punctuated every now and then by the sound of helicopters attending the fire.

Grace was a complete surprise, she just appeared out of the blue. I hope to hear more of her and I hope this modest video in some small way displays some of the talent this young woman possesses.
