ADOPTION SUMMARY –September 1-7
Our new month started out strong with 11 dogs adopted last week. Our “Tic, Tac, Toe” litter found happy homes and new names. Campbell, Luna, and Optimus, have a wonderful life with your new family. Mary, another one of the 8-month old Shpeherd/Collie Mixes was adopted, as well as a one year old Min Pin/Chi mix called William.
Our two-year old Boston Terrier/Lab (??) mix Maddy was pretty popular with our followers and of course was adopted. Another Terrier (mixed with Hound?), Humphrey found his home – he stole all the PetsMart volunteers’ hearts during his debut at an adoption event. Bondi, one of our “littles” that needed extra TLC and socialization, was officially declared a foster fail. Bernie, our sweet lovable 7- year old Boxer mix found his home – his adopter was thrilled to have a low key but cuddly dog to keep him company. Happy life to all.
But who is our Adoption of the Week? It’s a tie, for two completely different reasons; it’s our girl Tori and our boy Rock. Tori has been with Canine Collective for almost a year and is yet another successful graduate of our North Central Prison Obedience Program. We are always thrilled when a longtime CC resident finds her home. but we are also especially glad our scared, supersized Mastiff Rock found his perfect place. Rock was extremely fearful and we knew this 120 lb boy would need a special person to be his family. It was immediately apparent when they met that they “clicked” and he had found His Person. We already have a pic of Rock relaxing in his new home and not a trace of nervousness or panic – so relaxed and happy. Hurrah!
