This Memoriam is to highlight the service of these Eight (8) Buchanan High School graduates who paid the ultimate price to defend our country's freedoms:

- Cpl Jeremiah A. Baro, USMC, BHS Class of 2001, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Died: November 4, 2004
- LCpl Tony Butterfield, USMC, BHS Class of 2005, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Died: July 29, 2006,
- Sr Airman Nick Eischen, USAF, BHS Class of 2001, Operation Enduring Freedom, Died: Dec. 24, 2007
- LCpl Jared P. Hubbard, USMC, BHS Class of 2001, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Died: November 4, 2004
- Cpl Nathan Hubbard, USA, BHS Class of 2004, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Died: August 22, 2007
- SSgt Brian Piercy, USA, BHS Class of 2001, Operation Enduring Freedom,  Died: July 19, 2010
- PFC Rowan Dale Walter, USA, BHS Class of 2001, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Died: Feb 22, 2007
