This performance shows how a seemingly complex song can melodically vary over the same 8 bar chords sequence.
It also displays possibilities for arrangement using the whole range of the piano, arpeggios and rhythmic block chords.
There is an improvisation section around half way through which brings elements of the blues too into a standard rock classic.
Calling out the chords can simplify a piece of music and compartmentalise it for those who just see a 'series of notes' and find it hard to break a song down into it's constituent parts (-:
