Graphic Recording is a method developed in the early 1970ies on the US West coast. It is thus a relatively young discipline that is to be categorized under the field of "visual practice" (and not under an illustrative or artistic domain). Graphic Recording was developed primarily to support meetings, encourage collaboration, generate insight and to facilitate group processes.
