Small Box: Message in a Bottle a performance series during the pandemic of 2020. Each artist received the Small Box for a week and revealed their creation each Friday. This is the work of Kylie Copeland and Christina Littleton.
From Kylie "When Anne Shaffer reached out to me for this chance to perform, I had been in the midst of attending protests for Black Lives Matter and trying to make sense of what was going on and how I could be present. In understanding how much wisdom and strength there is to be gained from our ancestral lines as people and looking to those who have led movements, survived, and been victorious under the ever present threats of white supremacy before myself, it felt right to choose this song that conveys that resilience timelessly. Christina is one of my dear friends who I have danced with since coming to Athens for undergrad. It only made sense that my last performance in Athens be in collaboration with my sweet friend."
