When we first incorporated in 2010, we had a tiny little shop on Archer Ave in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. With only about 800 square feet it got cramped, quickly.
Customers often reminisce about the c-stand jungle that would greet them at the front of our shop.
It became clear that we needed more space. So, we rented some storage space at Mana Contemporary on Cermak in Pilsen a few blocks away from our shop. We also signed a lease for some space in the same building that quickly became our new production space.
It was very popular, we rented it out to many different types productions booked the space music videos, interviews, short films, and photo shoots.
Having an off-site studio was a lot of work, running back and forth, moving gear from the shop, to storage, to the production space was a constant game of video gear musical chairs. We even have horror stories of having to carry gear up five flights of stairs because the elevator was out.
Upon moving into our Cermak Rd office in 2013, it was clear that we needed an integrated Studio. So we did it right. A fully sound-treated, black box, with a full grid, and a 10% discount on any additional rental items.
Our space today is built around our ambition to be Chicago’s full-service video equipment rental facility, from a single item to a complete production package and Studio Space. We are here to make your production goals happen. #GoMagnanimous #LifeinFocus
