Hugli River, Hugli also spelled Hooghly, river in West Bengal state, northeastern India. An arm of the Ganges (Ganga) River, it provides access to Kolkata (Calcutta) from the Bay of Bengal.

Although above Kolkata the river is silted up, it is Navigable to the city by Oceangoing Ships.

Navigation is facilitated by Constant Dredging, and this video has been captured when one of the Dredger Ship is operating in Hoogly river in almost nil visibility due to thick fog.....
