"Insects" is the theme of this typeface design. I used Bodoni as the template and observed the structure and characteristics of insects. The stem/spine of the typeface as body of insect, crossbar/arm/tail/leg/bar/tail as feet, and serif as antennae. In order to enhance the legibility and visibility of the typeface, I removed some of the serifs so the font is between serifs and sans serifs. I named this typeface with a name of a French entomologist "Fabre".
The concept for visual is to express the relationship between insects and plants. The typeface, as the body of insects, goes through trees, leaves, and flowers with different seasons. For the motion, the dynamics of the typeface were divided into three sections according to the structure of insects, showing a playful, mysterious, and a hidden feeling among plants.
