�� Japan to the Japanese �� - and a handful of tourists.

February 2020 started off with thousands of "naked" men in loincloth chasing their luck for the upcoming 12 months. A country full of courtesy, patience, respect, detail and organization in which you will be surprised day by day. Japan is probably the only place in the world where you can spend 30 minutes in a shop still not knowing if they sell cosmetics, delicacy or adult toys. Around 30 million tourists add on to the usually partly crowded atmosphere every year. Due to a pandemic numbers dropped significantly and sights became visible again. Corona at its best - evil tongues could say... � This is the output of almost 3 months exploring in trains (5.271kms), on foot (250kms) and in Kaiten Sushi restaurants (63).

A festival with 10.000 barely dressed men & some police men chasing a gang member on a motorbike.

KYOTO
Geisha / Maiko time at the Plum Blossom Festival & hundreds of red gates.

OSAKA
The Glico Man is still running on the city's most famous billboard.

NARA
The deer bows before accepting your cookies.

HIROSHIMA
Atomic Bomb Dome without visitors.

NAGASAKI
Only made it to another Sushiro.

BEPPU
The epicenter of onsen & a bumpy wooden roller coaster.

NAGOYA
Oasis 21 & a stroll through the city chasing smokeless tobacco.

YUDANAKA
Watching macaques taking a hot bath in an onsen during snowfall. How cliché...

NAGANO
The only Olympic feeling in 2020.

YAMAGATA
Spending the day amongst the snow monsters of Zao Onsen.

SAPPORO
Bad weather crossed our way.

SENDAI
Daikannon - one of the tallest Buddhist statues in the world. Shiny white.

UTSUNOMIYA
Macaques performing a show & eating mandarines while sitting on our head in a remote Japanese tavern.

SHIROISHI
300+ foxes in the Miyagi Zao Fox village. Peeing, sleeping & fighting.

KAWAGUCHIKO
A non-suicidal walk in the suicide forest while being watched by Mount Fuji.

MIYAKOJIMA
Corona escape to an island closer to Taipeh than Tokyo.

TOKYO
2 weeks of vibrancy. All in.
