This is my first attempt at this beautiful old English folk ballad. I just learned it a week or so ago, so it's a little rough. The full song has quite a few verses that most people have never heard, since most singers only do two or three of them. I've chosen to add in a few extras because, to me, they help to round out the meaning of poignant tale of a fellow (in this case) who is a bit skeptical about taking back his ex and wants her to prove her true love by performing some nearly impossible tasks. .
