These are short excerpts derived from a 50 minute performance at St. Alfege in Greenwich in June 2019.
Birth Ensemble is made up of three artists based in London. Franziska Boehm, Svenja Buehl and Heloise Tunstall-Behrens met in 2018 during their studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. As a group, their interest in experimental music and dance culminates into playful explorations balancing on the threshold between body, voice, space, and sound. Using electronics for a further tool to discover resonating spaces inside and outside of the body, Birth ensemble attempts to create an ambiguous landscape of sound and movement, amplified by the body and manmade tools.

Birth ensemble is joined by the Organ Pipe Orchestra made up from composers from the undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Trinity Laban Conservatoire.
