Class is open to first-time 16mm filmmakers and will be focused on moving camera
technique and innovation. Participants will shoot a collective class film on day 1
with a TBA movement artist at Whitney Browne Photography Studio, and be able
to take a camera out for a day to shoot their own film on 100 ft. of Kodak Tri-X.
The workshop will cover in-camera editing techniques, and participants will
receive scans of their films. Participant films will be screened at a screening
party at Anthology Film Archives that will also include celluloid film works
from other MONO NO AWARE workshops.
