Episode One goes inside the unique culture of Louisiana with musician and New Orleans legend Kermit Ruffins along with his band, the Barbecue Swingers. Featuring well-known musicians who pride themselves on their creativity as cooks. each episode of "Eat To The Beat" will explore how music and food served together create a sense of place in Louisiana. Those musicians are keeping alive a long-standing Louisiana tradition -- making sure there's plenty of good local food to go along with the music, whether at a corner jazz joint, Cajun fais do-do, or Mardi Gras street festival.
