The short film, E-Rickshawali 2021, is an uplifting tale of sheer grit and ingenuity of a young Indian woman’s determination to support her family and make a life for herself. The story ensures that audience feels like they have the front seat onboard the E-Rickshaw enjoying the views and the journey, the buzz on the street and the journey will imprint in their mind & hearts. Life and its circumstances force us do what we can for survival. The historic streets of Delhi is the stage for this real-life drama of tears, laughter, learning and sharing. California-based director-producer Ruhi aka Rohini Hak and executive producer Archita Mandal, presents a glimpse into the incredible journey of Kiran Wati, a 21-year-old E-Rickshaw driver who transforms into a boy during the day to rough it out on the streets of Delhi.

Hak has directed films that have global awards and also human-interest awards and screened on national TV in Los Angeles, CA and was recently mentioned as the filmmaker to look out for as well by AOF Megafest2020. The team also ensured that the young girl was donated a fully paid E-Rickshaw of her own and pursues her further education.
