This video is inspired by the lyric of a song called Don't Worry by a singer, Dena Chang. The lyrics are mainly about when people pursuing their dreams, they feel uncertainty and worries that even make them feel losing their confidence. When I heard this song at the low point of my life, I was very inspired by the lyric which made me feel touched and warm. Therefore, I decided to make a lyric video for this song and hope that it can spread encouragement to more people.
In the process of generating a mind map, I catch the key message that I want to convey in my video is “companionship." Therefore, I create a variety of objects to represent friendship and support. For example, I use clouds as my main character to represent a sense of tenderness and soft effect. Besides, the scene with hands shows the feeling of friends supports each other. I also choose to use symmetrical shapes and objects in most of the scenes to make them as if friends or partners, which match the theme that I want to present. Lastly, I applied some roughen edges style to the text of lyrics to emphasize the hand-written feeling which brings the scene to look warmer.
