This project was realized in the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic. During this time, I had a lot of things to think about and time to contemplate my life choices. In doing this, I changed into a different person. The ongoing thought processes were accompanied by a lot of dancing and music. During this time, I stumbled upon this live version of Aaryan Shah´s "Dissociation", with which I resonated heavily. It helped me to calm down and accept the process that was going on. Moreover, it made me dance in a way that didn´t feel like dancing but more like an expression of my internal state. Eventually, I felt the need to honor this period of time with a little video that combined my motive of expressing what was going on within me at that time as well as my desire to do an artsy solo project. Fortunately, I was able to convince the man behind the camera and the post-production to help me bring my chaotic vision and idea to life. I am ever thankful for the amount of work, sweat, and time he has put into this project - I could not have asked for a better partner for my idea.

This video is not supposed to be perfect. It is not supposed to be a display of my skills as a dancer, artist, or anything, really. It is an intimate, authentic part of me that I would like to offer to anyone. May it serve as a reminder to all of us that among us, there are people who, perhaps silently, undergo an internal conflict and who may not be able to reach out for help for various reasons. Please look out for each other and take care of yourself.
