The Deschutes River heads north to meet the Columbia River at the Deschutes River State Recreation Area. Miller Island (part of Washington State) lies in the middle of the Columbia River at this location, between Biggs Junction and The Dalles, Oregon.
My friends Greg and Don bicycled across the State of Oregon, starting in Klamath Falls and ending at the mouth of the Deschutes River.
