CUSP is a synthetic entity built for architectural and spatial operations.
This project called Koino was constructed without any human intervention or influence. Based on the automata blue prints and sketches by Taiwanese metabolism architect Lee Guō and transcribed in to algorithms through scrambled nature based machine learning. The project evokes questions regarding artificial nature - how architecture and technology derives from primitive nature and the potential to evolve in to a higher more complex form- as well as architecture that serves no purpose for humans. Structure and design intertwined with nature by code. Materials used in the Koino project were yellow graphene superconductors combined with regular concrete blocks.
