Please enjoy this 2D animation I created for a course at the University of Florida during the Fall 2019 semester. In this short, Curiosity is a struggling detective in Barkington City when he spots his big chance to become successful. An expensive ring has been stolen from the museum, and it is up to him to find the thief and gain recognition for his sleuthing skills!
I fully animated this short film in Toon Boom Harmony. I had previously puppeted the character rig in the program for previous animation assignments for the course (view here: vimeo.com/396850567) and utilized him for the final project for the semester. The character design was adapted from the player character I had created for my "The Cat Burglar" 2D Unity game, changing my character from a sly thief into a "good guy" detective (view here: vimeo.com/394692045). I also added the sounds and music with After Effects.
