The destination is the Chic Choc mountain range located on the Gaspe Peninsula in northern Quebec, Canada. According to the United Nations, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Protect Our Winters (POW): the North American Jet Stream is slowly moving farther North, taking much of the heavy snowfalls it brings along with it. A decrease in Snow-Covered Area by up to 36% in North America has been documented for the past decade or so with the end result growing up to a 76% decrease of snow days in New England by 2100. Many of these bummers are due to anthropogenic climate change. Ultimately, this translates to the fact that powder-hounds and truffle pigs like my friend and I are going to have to search farther and higher to find our beloved face shots.
