In collaboration with Simon Lysander Overstall and birds, insects, plants and trees in a forest. 2017 exhibition at The Western Front, curated by DB Boyko as part of the International Society of Contemporary Music, World New Music Days, Vancouver.
Biophilia is an immersive audio video installation that recreates an experience of being in a coastal old growth forest, using recordings made by the artists in Fillongley Provincial Park on Denman Island, BC, and Andreyev's theremin performance. The project runs from a computational generative system modeled on the biophony and daily rhythms of the real-world location. Biophilia is a form of ecological aesthetics, weaving the expression of forest creatures with the creative responses of the artists.
