Me and my wife aka La Angel Baby went out to New York for the Opening of of the exhibit “Beyond The Streets” in Brooklyn. After the more than successful L.A. exhibit Roger Gastman and the best team to the show back East and once again, it was more than successful. So many old school hip hop people came out, among the many Dj Stretch Armstrong, DMC, LL Cool J, Rosie Perez, Chris Rock, and Nas to name a few. All the old school Graff heads, B Boys, DJ’s and Beatboxers came thru.
Artworks from over 120 from some of the best street artists in the world, old and new filled 2 full floors. Of course they couldn’t fit everyone in and everyone thinks someone else should have been in and not this guy or that guy but when they curate their own show they can put whoever they want in it, right? I am so grateful that I was able to make it in the show on both coasts. And work pays off. While I was there I decided to call my homie Richie Abbott to set me up a little press tour to help promote my LAtest book “This Is Los Angeles” published by the one and only Drago Publishing from Roma Italy. I went on Lord Sears show on Shade 45, Jack the Thriller 50cent.com, interviewed for inked magazine and Respect Magazine. Did some cool Photoshoots with Maxine Ashley and Caroline Caldwell. Ate at my Favorite Spot Bar Pitti, Hung out in Bay Ridge with the Homie Kaves. Went with my car Club brother to see some Lowriders on St. Marks place. It was cool to hang and show with some old friends Risky, Defer, Patrick Martinez, Haze, Gajin, Zes, Chaz Bojorquez, Alexis Ross, Bert Krak, Craig Stecyk, Fab 5 Freddy, GlenFreidman, FUTURA 2000, Mare, Martha Cooper, victor Reyes, Taki 183, and the tats Cru. Always got to hang with the homies at Franks Chop shop and Danny Diablo. The extra thing I got to do that just came up at the end wat a cool piece I collaborated with Defer and Ryan Keely and it sold the same day. Thank you every one that was a part of this trip it was Great!!!
