Michael's written a new guitar piece titled Barcarolle, so we thought we'd go out and film it. Here's his description of the piece: 'For those unfamiliar with classical forms, a Barcarolle is a piece intended to imitate the traditional songs of Venetian gondoliers. As I grew up partly in Milan, I've been to Venice on several occasions and thought I'd give the form a crack. Don't hear too many gondoliers singing in Venice these days; mostly tinned music...'
