This project is another embodied color psychology study diving into my associations with the colors Orange and Blue and relating them to my relationship with anger & sadness. For a very long time I have been afraid of anger, and for this reason any spark of anger inside of me would immediately turn heavy and sink me deeply into my own ocean of sadness. However, after spending a long time researching my relationship with fear through movement and the color red, I have moved through my fear of anger and decided to let anger have space inside of me so that I can process it better & not hold it as sadness. How can I process my anger in a way that makes me feel lighter rather than heavier?

I am exploring letting my frustrations come to the surface of my psyche so that I can feel the energy of the anger in my body, and then practicing moving through the tension that occurs in a way that leaves me feeling lighter and grounded. Realizing that if my anger and sadness interact in a specific way within myself, processing them can be energizing and leave me feeling lighter. In this improv. I found a grounded lightness that is full of power and precision by carefully unwinding the tension that anger produced in the space around me.
