Basel is a city in Switzerland, about 7,000 kilometres away from Asia. It is also the place where I grew up. In 2015, I decided to pursue my dream to move to Asia. When I miss home, there are always vivid pictures in my mind. The picturesque landscapes, the laughter of a familiar person, the scent of grass in the fields after the rain or the fragrance of the garden in the early morning. However, no matter how attached we are to something or someone, growing up makes us realise that nothing lasts forever. Everything is like sand held in our palms, and in a blink of an eye it eventually disappears. We can't stop time and we can't keep this moment. Therefore, the only thing I can do is to use music as a carrier to capture such feelings. When the opening melody starts to plays, a feeling of relief comes up. That’s why I made this song to capture the look of my old home, the place I came from, the vibes, the days along the way, as well as the meaning music gives me.
