I chose to submit my American Idiot music video, as I felt that it best represented my filmmaking style and interests within the film world. The overall themes were climate change and adolescent protests. I want my films to uplift young people whilst creating discourse around important social and political issues. Editing and its link to sound, particularly certain scores, is a key part of my filmmaking process. I have numerous playlists for genres, character types and topics and will often envision particular songs for certain scenes. Music videos is definitely one of the fields I hope to work in.
