This song was put together with our 6pm congregation as they worked through the letter of James some years ago. It was used in worship for that service of young adults but is too blues and lyrically dense for our current (2020) altogether pre-recorded services. The verses reflect on the themes of James, and the refrain comes from the interpretive hinge of James’ letter in 1:2-4. “Count it all joy, my brethren, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” The song is offered here for personal use, especially for those who are facing trials of many kinds.
