a phantom roams
plains in Laos
hide your children
it has not yet died
beware!
the one who drags one foot
while the other rots 10 feet away
its breath reeks of Agent Orange
it shouts dynamite flames
that dusts away human bones
and bamboo baskets
It curls
leaves and skins of families
who hide in the forest
till their flesh shrivels
like lungs.
