So I'm finally out of college and making money. Why would I just now buy a discontinued camera that came out in 2012? The image. I don't think Blackmagic has matched the look of their older BMCC/BMPCC sensors yet for me. Didn't like the low dynamic range first 4K sensor. The Ursa 4.6K/Pocket 4K are great, but seem to require some extra post corrections (mostly color/luminance contrast) to match the out of the box look that had everyone comparing BM's early cameras to Arri's. I'll probably get the Pocket 4K sometime as a second camera for the utility of the higher resolution/framerate/ISO. The BMCC 2.5K still has my heart though.

Went out when the snow was melting to test the dynamic range of the sensor, the sharpness and focus breathing of the lenses, and hope that the camera didn't fall apart since I bought it used (supposedly only for a week). Grades swimmingly. Quite pleased!
