A Calf is born deep in the woods on a Beautiful Summer Day in the Sequoia National Forest of California.
I decided to explore one morning and wound up on a deserted logging road in the Sequoia National Forest. As I rounded a corner I surprised 3 cows that gradually moved up the hillside. Walking further, I understood what the interest was all about. A newborn calf, too young to stand rested. I then realized the luck I had of experiencing such a beautiful Summer Birthday. Two hours later on my way out, the calf was standing and ready to go. The Joy of Nature is all around us.
