Ethical clothing brand Hut Mentality's founder, Isha Punja sees the brand as a channel for re-discovering the country of her roots. As an Indian-American, she never truly felt fully a part of either country; in India she was the foreigner who couldn't speak Hindi, and in America she was the daughter of immigrant parents, the 'Indian' before the 'American.

In her Junior year of college at UC Berkeley, she decided to start a clothing brand from her dorm room She called it Hut Mentality. The pieces were entirely made using textiles that had been hand-stitched, dyed, sown, or stamped by indigenous and rural artisans throughout India.
And so, through the voice of India's dwindling craftsmen and women, she began to truly understand the country of her origin.

What began as a journey into entrepreneurship, morphed into a journey of discovery - or perhaps, re-discovery. What better gift is there in life, than the understanding of oneself? And how can one truly know herself without knowing the soil she came from?

Here is that story, told through videos she took along her two year journey: It is a story about falling in love - not with a person, like the stories we often hear - but with an entire country - a place, and the way it makes you feel.

Song: Don't Stop Dreaming, by Celebration
