Te film is based on the novel \u201cThis Way Out,\u201d by James Ronald which, in turn, was loosely based on the sensational Dr. Crippen murder trial of 1910. Released by Universal Pictures. It stars Charles Laughton, Ella Raines, Dean Harens, and Stanley Ridges. World premiere in San Francisco: 22 Dec 1944.
