This was our most extensive tour of the US to date, with a variety of amazing stops across the country.

The trip began with a couple of days in NYC, where we explored spots around town including the Guggenheim, Grand Central and One World Trade Center. We then took the train down to Washington DC, staying in Georgetown and ticking off several monuments around the city. Next was a change of pace in visiting a family friend in Highlands, North Carolina. Here we hiked the verdant Blue Ridge mountains and found some incredible vistas and waterfalls. From there we flew over to Oregon on the west coast, spending a few days split between exploring Portland and enjoying natural beauty at Multnomah Falls and Cannon Beach. The next stop was Lake Tahoe, where we had fun with watersports on the lake and the Independence Day festivities. Finally we ended up in the inimitable Las Vegas, catching a few shows and taking in the nightlife.
