So I heard if I do a tummy tuck I'm going to have to take two weeks off from work,
my mama's gonna have to come down from Canada
for two weeks and wait on me hand
and foot, I'm going to need a bell to make sure everybody brings me my dinner and snacks.
I think the thing that most people are concerned about
when even starting to explore a tummy tuck is “I've heard it's ridiculously painful.”
And while everyone's recovery is truly different
and everyone's pain threshold is completely different, we can say
with pretty confidence, with a lot of confidence
that having a modern tummy tuck makes your recovery better.
It makes you a little bit more mobile
because of the long-lasting numbing medication,
because of the no drains you can get up and move around a lot better,
you can shower. It is still a painful procedure,
but most people find day four or day five are kind of the most painful
and then it gets a lot better after that.
So you're certainly not going to be laid up for weeks and weeks and weeks moaning in pain.
Most people have stopped taking most pain medications around day four or day five.
That's awesome. So you’re not going to be breakdancing at day two,
but you're not going to need someone waiting on you hand and foot for two weeks either.
